Boldmere St Michaels F.C. (History)

The `Mikes`

The Midland Combination Team

In December of the 1988/1989 season, Boldmere, who were on an unbeaten run, had to be content with a draw against Hednesford Town in the Third Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

It was Boldmere`s 13th successive game without a defeat. In fact Alan Parsons` team had lost only once that season up to December-a run of 22 games.

MORE DETAILS OF THE MATCH WILL BE IN THE BOOK NOW AVAILABLE.

`Parso` still tries to keep in touch with the players from that era. He said, “Gavin Price now lives in Wales but turns out   for `Aston Villa Old Stars`.  He recalls Steve Tycer brought Adrian Ralph to the club. He described Adrian as a very skilful player. Paul Clarke still visits the club regularly. Mickey Carr is now involved with Stockland Star F.C.  Andy Manson is running Lodge Cottrell F.C.  Bob Crutchley has played for Boldmere Old Stars.

Alan would like to find out about the other players to build up an `Old Boldmere Boys` network.

So do email him below and left him know how you are getting on.
